Hyundai has improved on what was already a 10Best-winning car by making it more exciting. The Ioniq 5 N will produce 601 horsepower and 545 pound-feet of torque—and it has something called N Grin Boost that raises output to 641 hp. Scroll through for a closer look.

The N-specific fascia flows more air through the nose. Vertical slots in the upper bumper cover allow even more air to pass across reconfigured radiators.

2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N has forged 21-inch wheels wrapped in Hyundai-spec Pirelli P Zero Elect rubber measuring 275/35ZR-21 and are the largest assemblies to ever be mounted to a Hyundai.

Flared fenders cover the meatier wheels and tires, making the body 2.0 inches wider.

Behind the forged wheels are biggest brakes ever fitted to a Hyundai. Up front, four-piston fixed calipers squeeze 15.7-inch rotors while a single-piston slider pinches a 14.2-inch rotor in the back.

The Ioniq 5 N’s dual-motor setup produces a combined 601 horsepower and 545 pound-feet in normal mode. With N Grin Boost activated, the output leaps to 641 ponies.

Behind the most complex steering wheel Hyundai has even installed is a configurable digital instrument cluster. It even features an 8000-rpm tachometer, though the motors spin to 21,000 rpm.

With N Grin Boost activated, Hyundai claims 60 mph arrives in 3.4 seconds. A conservative number, if you ask us, considering the Kia EV6 GT does the deed in 3.1.

Top speed is limited to 161 mph.
